Flax Therapy Wraps
Our flaxseed hot/cold therapy wraps provide natural pain relief for sore muscles, stiff joints, headaches, stress, and everyday aches and pains. Each wrap is handcrafted in Langley, BC and filled with Canadian grown food grade flaxseed. They are flexible, reusable, and designed to mold comfortably to your body.
Use them as a natural cold pack straight from the freezer.
Flaxseed stays soft and flexible when frozen, unlike gel packs or bags of peas that turn rock-hard. The wrap drapes easily over your neck, shoulders, back, or anywhere you need cooling relief.
Use them as a microwave heating pad for long-lasting warmth.
Heat the wrap in the microwave for 30-60 seconds depending on the size, then shake the flaxseed to distribute the warmth. It's like stirring your leftovers when you reheat them. Continue heating in short intervals until it reaches a comfortable temperature. You can safely go from freezer to microwave without waiting for the wrap to warm up first.
Don't make it so hot that you burn your skin! Not only will it be painful, but the flaxseed will smell funny. If you heat it for too long, it could even catch fire. Don't do that!

Why Flaxseed?
Flaxseed is naturally high in oil, which allows it to hold heat longer and stay flexible with frozen. When you heat the wrap, the seeds act like miniature oil heaters. Other grains like rice, barley, or oats are water-based and when you heat them their moisture evaporates quickly. Flaxseed lasts longer, both in holding onto the cold or heat and overall life of the product. It is the ideal fill for a reusable microwave heat wrap or cold therapy pack.
Our flax therapy wraps are not washable. If you get them wet, the flaxseed with get mushy and may not dry out properly. Your best bet would be to empty the flaxseed into your compost and purchase a new wrap. Just like for cellphones and gremlins, the limited warranty does not cover water damage. Use only as directed. Not for unintended use. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not eat the product.
