Product Overview
This Eye Pillow measures 10.5 x 4 inches and is filled with a half pound of Canadian-grown flaxseed. It's the perfect size for soothing tired eyes, easing facial tension, or helping you unwind at the end of the day.
Small but mighty! Just because we call it an Eye Pillow, don't let that stop you from using it where you need it. Put it on your shoulder or neck if you woke up with a kink in your neck (check out our pillows if this happens to you a lot!). Wrap it around your hand or wrist. Give it to your kids as a boo-boo bag (super effective when band-aids can't fix hurt feelings).
This is not a sleep mask and does not have a strap. Don't use this eye pillow on your eyes when HOT. Warm is okay, but keep in mind that your eyelids are thin and sensitive, so check the temperature before using and don't hurt yourself!
Heat it up!
Pop your eye pillow on a microwaveāsafe plate and warm it in short bursts. 30 seconds at a time is all it takes. Give it a shake between rounds so the flaxseed spreads the heat around like tiny spa attendants and let the gentle heat melt away the stress.
For dry eye therapy, lightly mist the eye pillow with water before warming. The added moisture creates warm humidity that helps soften the meibum (the natural oils in the eyelids) along your eyelids, making it easier for it to flow and keep your eyelids comfortable. For even more moisture, consider our Okulo Warmer. It has the same shape and size as the eye pillow but it's made to be soaked in warm water for an even longer lasting effect.
Don’t wander off while it’s heating! Overheating can scorch the seeds, burn your skin, or start a fire. If it feels too hot, let it cool down before using. Heating in the oven is not recommended (as in, don't do it).
Cool it down!
Keep your wrap in the freezer and it becomes the world’s friendliest cold pack. It stays soft and flexible. No frozen-pea-brick energy here. You can go straight from freezer to microwave; simply adjust the heating time as needed.
Why flaxseed?
Flaxseed is basically the unsung hero of hot/cold therapy. It’s naturally high in oil, which means it heats faster, holds heat longer, stays flexible when frozen, and outlasts waterābased grains like rice or barley. Flax wraps are soft, cozy, and reliable. What more could you want?
Pick your colour!
Choose your favourite colour or pattern. We like variety here at Kuseno. Can't decide? Pick a bright, bold colour that you can easily find in the cupboard or freezer (wherever you store it). When you're in pain, searching for your heat wrap among your similarly coloured towels is not a good time. Besides, it's not like you're going to leave the house with it on, right?
Patterns may vary because our supplier likes to keep life exciting. If your chosen pattern disappears into the fabric void, we’ll contact you with options.
Naturally unscented.
Flaxseed has its own natural scent. If you've had flaxseed cereal or muffins, the warmed wrap will remind you of that. If you overheat the wrap and burn the seeds, it smells like burnt popcorn. Every. Time. You heat it. If that's not soothing, it's time to replace it. If you’re into aromatherapy, give your wrap a light spritz after heating. (Before heating = sad microwave)
Not washable.
Please keep your wrap dry. If it gets actually wet (not a tiny mist, we mean wet-wet), the flaxseed can turn into mush, and nobody wants that. If disaster strikes, compost the seeds and treat yourself to a new wrap.
Just like with cellphones and gremlins, the limited warranty does not cover water damage.
For an extra cozy boost, give your wrap a light mist of water before microwaving. The gentle steam turns your wrap into a mini at-home spa experience.
Use responsibly.
Use only as directed. Don’t overheat. Don’t put it on your skin if it’s too hot. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not eat the product (we can’t believe we have to say this). Kuseno Comfort Products and its team are not liable for misuse of the product.
